What’s UMEBOCCHI?
Umebocchi is a play on the Japanese words ‘ume’ (plum) and ‘bocchi’ (loner or alone).
Umebocchi-kun is an original character created to represent the shop. Umebocchi-kun comes in two states:
He’s a refreshing green when in peaceful mode, but when he’s feeling emo, he is in salty pink.

Who is behind UMEBOCCHI STUDIO?
Hello! My name is Diana and I run UMEBOCCHI STUDIO with my assistant, #MyCatHaku. From November 2022, we have a new colleague - my little Babybocchi! We run our small family studio space based in Singapore and Japan.
During the day, I work with artists to co-develop interactive art installations for children. As my daytime work can get very consuming, I love to spend my free time drawing cute and meaningful illustrations to help me improve my mental health. I created this space to invite anyone who would like to join this journey with me in taking care of both the body and mind for a better self! I talk a lot about this journey through my vlogs on YouTube.
